About Me

Welcome / Croeso

I’m Catrin, a Clinical Psychologist working in both private practice and the NHS. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and offer psychological assessment and therapy to adults.

I provide a warm, respectful, and compassionate space to explore emotional and psychological difficulties. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure about what comes next, you don’t need to have all the answers to begin therapy. We can start together from wherever you are right now.

Therapies

My approach is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in current psychological research. I work integratively, drawing on a range of evidence-based models to tailor therapy to your needs. These include:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
• Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Systemic Family Therapy

Whether you are looking for short-term, focused work or a space for longer-term exploration, we will decide together what approach and pace will be most helpful. Therapy is offered in Welsh, English, or a blend of both, depending on your preference.

Clinical Experience

I work with adults facing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, chronic worry (including health anxiety), low mood and depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress, adjustment to health conditions, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, sexual wellbeing, and palliative and end-of-life concerns. I have specialist experience supporting people living with physical health conditions and understand how illness can impact emotional wellbeing, identity, and relationships.

Appointment Information

It can be difficult to know which therapist to choose or what type of therapy might be most suitable for you. The initial appointment is a chance to make a connection, explore what’s bringing you to therapy, and begin thinking together about how I can help. We’ll use this time to form a shared understanding and work collaboratively to plan for change.

Appointments are available on Mondays between 8:00am and 7:00pm. Sessions are offered online, by telephone, or in person (subject to availability in the Cardiff area).

Appointments cost £110 for a 50-minute session. If you would like to book an assessment or have any questions, please get in touch.
